April 2010... The Miller Group contracted with The Douglas Group for a Maintenance Agreement. The Douglas Group was founded in 1991 to provide professional services to business owners seeking to sell or acquire businesses. The Miller Group installed and configured the Douglas Group’s first server ever, a Dell T310 PowerEdge.
April 2010... The Miller Group continues to work closely with Kirkwood Public Library as they plan the move from their temporary facility back to their permanent location. The logistics of this move are daunting, as we prepare to move dozens of PCs and technology between sites. Once settled, KPL has ordered new computers to integrate into the new space.
April 2010... The Miller Group replaced Birthright’s old FileMaker Pro patient tracking system with web-enabled tracking information.
April 2010... If you get renewal notices from anyone, please let us know. March was a wildly busy month for anti-virus and anti-spam renewals and purchases. Renewing Symantec’s Endpoint (anti-virus) were Agape Construction Company, Trilogy Healthcare, Leadership Alliance, Rataj-Krueger Architects, and Patrick Development, while the Douglas Group purchased new. Renewing Symantec’s BackUp Exec were Trilogy Healthcare and Material Technology Institute. Renewing Symantec’s Email Security was Illinois South Conference, while Lange-Stegmann renewed Double-Take. Jacob Development Group, a new client, purchased Sunbelt Software’s Vipre Email Security and has knocked their spam emails down from 500 a day to 25.

Walsh Associates signed up for the ArchiveSaver, The Miller Group’s fully self-contained email archiving system to meet the new Electronically Stored Information (ESI) amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP). In addition to the ESI compliance, with our easy-to-use software, your email messages can be backed up automatically and can be retrieved for any reason, wherever and whenever you choose.
March 2010... The Miller Group finished up work on a server installation for our new friends at Krilogy Financial. This was a complete solution: a Dell T610 tower server with Microsoft Small Business Server, Symantec Endpoint (anti-virus), Sunbelt Vipre Email Messaging (anti-spam), an APC SmartUPS, and an external hard drive backup process.

February 2010... The Miller Group is now a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Gold partners represent the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies and have the closest working relationship with the company. Some of our new competencies will be "Office Deployment", "Information Worker Solutions", and "Networking Infrastructure Solutions". While many of the benefits we receive will not be immediately evident to our clients, they will all ultimately help us serve your needs better.
February 2010... The Miller Group has upgraded P.R.A.Y. Publishing's website to utilize Able Commerce. Previously, end-users had to download an applet to their computers to order from Pray Publishing. With this upgrade, that will no longer be necessary.

February 2010... Don't forget The Miller Group when it comes to ordering replacement parts for anything technology-related. St. Mark's Lutheran Ministries ordered an imaging drum for a Dell 1720dn printer, while the Kirkwood Public Library ordered a replacement battery for an APC Smart-Ups 1500.
February 2010... Even though one of the offices of the Illinois South Conference is located in Highland, Illinois, The Miller Group—with a little help from our client—was able to install an external USB hard drive and remotely configure ISCUCC's nightly backup.

January 2010... Frederich Construction ordered three new Dell OptiPlex 380 mini-towers for their offices last month. The OptiPlex 360 has been phased out by Dell and has been replaced by the OptiPlex 380.
January 2010... Our good friends at Weber Fire and Safety instituted a new back-up program utilizing two 1TB USB external hard drives. Using USB hard drives is the easiest method of achieving an off-site backup and is used by many of our clients.
January 2010... Family Care Health Centers replaced the batteries on her APC Smart-UPS 1500 battery backup. In many instances, replacing just the batteries from a unit is more cost-effective than replacing a whole unit. Just ask us and we'll get you a cost.

December 2009...Last month we sold a new high-end Dell Precision M4400 laptop with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz CPU to our good friends at Mainline Group Architecture. Mainline called back the very next day to order a second unit, but when we went to place the order, the 2.4GHz CPU had been discontinued! Such are the vagaries of business generally and the computer industry specifically that a CPU that was perfectly fine yesterday is obsolete today.
December 2009...The Miller Group finished redesigning the website for the Metropolitan Volunteer Management Association. The MVA has been providing educational and networking opportunities for managers of volunteer programs since 1962. We also worked closely with Pray Publishing last month in developing an ecommerce component for their website.
December 2009...The Miller Group is happy to say our Christmas Special offerings in conjunction with Dell were very successful. Both the low-priced laptop and desktop—which could almost be classed as impulse items—sold very well and made many a client's son or daughter happy and surprised at the Christmas holidays.

of the Hometown Heroes, America's Veteran stories website. Hometown Heroes honors veterans—all branches, all eras, living or deceased—through the collection and preservation of their stories. The Miller Group is proud to be assisting in this effort to provide the much needed national archive for Veterans Stories.
November 2009...We're a few days early, but we want to congratulate Sandy Roland of Missouri Mid-South Conference, United Church of Christ www.mmsucc.org, as she retires. Sandy is one of our favorites and we wish her the very best as she enters this new and exciting phase of her life.
November 2009...The Miller Group worked with long time Maintenance Agreement client Kirkwood Public Library, to provide new servers and implementation of new technologies to better serve the patrons of the library. The new technologies are in place in their temporary location in downtown Kirkwood, Missouri, and will easily be relocated to the renovated Library when the construction is completed in 2010.
October 2009...The Kentucky office of Lange-Stegmann, was down because of damage to equipment from severe storms in the area. The Miller Group overnighted some replacement equipment and then worked with them remotely to get the new equipment installed and running. In addition, Lange-Stegmann purchased new Dell Latitude E4500s for two of their Agrotain employees.
October 2009...The Miller Group has partnered with Patriot Productions in the creation of the Hometown Heroes website. This website is the national archive of veteran stories about their service to our country. With the veterans getting older the timing couldn't be better to provide a national database for tributes to our veterans from all wars and years of service. Please visit www.hometown-heroes.org to sign up for a membership and upload your veteran's story. It would be a wonderful gift for a family member this Christmas season.

September 2009…Our e-Cycle electronic waste recycling program is still going gangbusters. We had over three dozen monitors, PCs, printers and what-not arrive during the month. As a reminder, you may drop off your e-waste at The Miller Group any time Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30. If one of our technicians is at your company on a service call, he can pick up your e-waste for free. If we make a special trip to your site, a Travel Charge will apply.
September 2009…The Miller Group renewed Sunbelt Software's Vipre Email Security for the St. Louis Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association and for Rataj-Krueger Architects, Inc. Last month, Sunbelt upgraded its Ninja Email Messaging program to Vipre and The Miller Group likewise upgraded our entire client base as well. In the opinion of The Miller Group, Vipre is hands-down the best anti-spam program on the market, and has been so for the past four years.
September 2009… The Miller Group worked extensively with Bi-State Medical Consultants to implement their new medical system by adding over twenty Dell workstations to their network. We were also pleased to provide six Dell OptiPlex 360 computers to Helmkampf Construction, upgrading some older machines on their network.
September 2009… The Miller Group worked on an extensive wiring job for the Crown Center for Senior Living in Ladue involving their computers, server, and phone system.
September 2009… The Miller Group worked with Genesis Living Benefits Services to upgrade their new website and also used our $599 website to develop a new website for Govero Land Services, a long time Technical Services Maintenance client. For Anatol's Fabric Outlet (www.housefabric.com and www.fabrictothetrade.com), a Development and Hosting client of 9 years we upgraded the payment gateway to support the required changes by their payment gateway vendor.

August 2009… The Miller Group finished implementing e-commerce websites for King Louies, St. Louis' gourmet popcorn company and PerioProtect. Maryland Gallery is upgrading to a Content Management System(CMS) to manage all the photographers and images to better present them to the art purchasing public. We have migrated Vision Tickets' website to The Miller Group and we are adding enhanced ticket ordering capabilities as Vision Tickets expands into increasing venues for online ticket sales.
August 2009… The Miller Group is pleased to add Bi-State Medical Consultants, www.bistatemed.com, to its technical services Maintenance Agreement list.
August 2009… The Miller Group provided Dell workstations for AutoCad to two engineering clients last month, Pillar Design Group and Cowell Engineering . Both systems were sold for less than $1,500—proving that all AutoCAD stations don't have to cost a lot.

Nathan is a senior at Festus High School, Festus, MO, has his A+ certification, and is eager to follow in his father's footsteps. In the Development Department Brandon Miller is providing website development services. Brandon is a sophomore at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO, and has experience in HTML website development.

The Miller Group helps in new plant expansion by providing network infrastructure upgrades and new Dell laptops to augment Lange-Stegmann's current technologies. The Miller Group helps in acquisition and installation of their new Dell server, backup software, and security software. May 2009... The Miller Group partners with West County Fire & EMS, of St. Louis, Mo, provides new server hardware and software to assist in migrating from their old email system to an in-house email system that will provide better communications amongst the firefighters and administration. The new email server was implemented in April and now the migration is complete with all the firefighters and administration still able to access their old email and Inbox folders. The Miller Group is the largest Dell Sales Partner in Missouri and provides network and technical services through Maintenance

The Miller Group partners with Kirkwood Public Library, of Kirkwood, Mo, to assist in their temporary move to Station Plaza, in downtown Kirkwood, while renovations occur in the historic Kirkwood Library. The Miller Group will provide new pc equipment, wireless connectivity equipment and labor to establish their new presence in downtown Kirkwood. The Miller Group is also modifying their website, www.kirkwoodpubliclibrary.org, to incorporate additional ADA compliance and many other new features. The Miller Group partners with Pittsburg Tank & Tower of Henderson, Kentucky, www.watertank.com, to create their Business Continuation Plan to better prepare them in the event of a disaster. The project will entail developing the Plan and conducting a tabletop and full scale exercise. The Miller Group will work with the Business Continuation team each quarter to revisit the Plan to ensure it is current and operational.
